Pretend to be a 10 year old and you can get anyone to write to you.
A pop-culture historian named Bill Geerhart pretended to be a ten year old version of himself and sent letters to luminaries including Dick Cheney, Clarence Thomas, Charles Manson and Larry Flynt. They responded and now the letters are being made available.
The responses from some are cute and funny, others downright disturbing.
Great find. I doubt I would have ever seen this, but what an interesting idea.
It gave me all sorts of ideas about how to get valuable items (like Dick Cheney’s signed Desert Storm card).
